Who are we ?

Oxford English Academy is an expanding global organization based in Oxford UK, we pride ourselves on our integrity and quality of teaching. We mix the traditional with the modern and create a solution which removes the need for students to travel to Oxford – we bring Oxford to them!

Why Oxford English Academy?

We have a dream, and that dream is to turn today’s children into tomorrow’s leaders by addressing their mentality as equals; a child is not someone who should always be told what to do without exploring the opportunity of creativity, a child is not just an object for parents to feed, keep clean and dote on, although they are lovable little creatures doting on them the wrong way could negatively affect their personalities.

In Oxford English Academy we look at doting from another perspective, we dote on their minds, personalities and potential to be awesome human beings! Children are intellectual entities who are much smarter, more creative and more open to thinking outside the box than adults, we have been affected by the fast paced technology controlled life we live in, they – although part of that technological life – still have their raw untouched unabashed creativity and cross-hairs like attention to detail.

Because we have award winning material!

How do our children become FUTURE THINKERS?

A lot of teachers talk about “21st century skills” and “The 4 Cs”, but what are they, and why are they important? We will not just teach our children, we will turn them into thinkers of the future!

These are the skills students need for great futures, and we are happy to offer them!

Criticalthinking:
A lot of schools and teachers want to bring critical thinking into their teaching. How do you do this? Find out with us! Oxford English Academy uses Big Questions to tap into students’ natural curiosity. It enables them to ask their own questions, find their own answers, and explore the world around them. They have been asking questions all their lives now it’s time for them to tap into that wide database of information and answer some questions for a change. When they find that the teacher asks for their opinion, regards it highly and more importantly, integrates it within the lesson, their self confidence and self esteem will sky rocket!

Communication:
What do students need in order to really communicate and express themselves? A safe, friendly and highly interactive environment like the one in our classes! We make sure that there is no such thing as a wrong answer in our classes, any answer the child states comes from a background and an opinion that are to be respected, we maximize our students speaking time in the class, we make everyone “Wonder out loud” with no prejudice or favorites to make sure communicating with others and voicing your opinion are the easiest things to do at

Collaboration:
Would you like support in helping your child manage pair work and group work? Our children collaborate on team building activities, Artistic pair work and interactive role plays to make sure they work on their collaboration skills! After every unit they prepare to go through a project either in pairs or in groups, the projects vary in younger ages from making a picture frame, a mini fair, or making a sock puppet, to interviewing an adult, writing a short story, or creating a travel brochure for the older ages.

Creativity:
What kinds of projects would make parents, students, and teachers proud? How do you encourage creativity? Each project our children create in class is linked to a school subject – social studies, art, science, math, or music. We help them push their limits and explore the soul warming subject that is the arts, we teach them to go with their instinct and integrate their creativity in everyday life – because sometimes, coloring outside the lines isn’t a bad thing!
Oxford English Academy gives teachers all they need to develop these 21st century skills with confidence. We offer teachers the tools to do so via 2 very interactive and innovative curricula:
